Isn&#8217;t the worker&#8217;s council trying to square the circle here?<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Never.&#8221;<\/strong> SAP US boss <a href=\"http:\/\/www.informationweek.com\/cloud-computing\/blog\/archives\/2009\/01\/sap_ceo_sounds.html?cid=RSSfeed_IWK_ALL\">Bill McDermott interview predicts a SaaS disillusionment<\/a>. A fairly misjudged and badly interpreted interview, or, as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.twitter.com\/jonerp\">@jonerp<\/a> put it: &#8220;<span class=\"entry-content\">SaaS true believers portraying SAP as legacydinosaur<\/span>&#8220;.<\/li>\n<li>SAP and SaaS: SeekingAlpha&#8217;s Jeffrey Kaplan sees <a href=\"http:\/\/seekingalpha.com\/article\/114303-sap-s-ceo-and-saas-is-denial-working?source=article_lb_articles\">SAP in denial<\/a>. I thought this article lacks real insight into what products such as BBD deliver. Also, what&#8217;s wrong with being cautious about ERP in the cloud? For instance, the idea of SAP SaaS snap-on&#8217;s to work toegther with SAP ERP is a good one, as it could ease customers into SaaS.<\/li>\n<li>this week also saw the go-live of the <a href=\"http:\/\/enterprisegeeks.com\">Enterprise Geeks<\/a> website with interesting contributions from Craig Cmehil, Dan McWeeney, Ed Hermann, Rich Heilman and Thomas Jung. I&#8217;ve certainly subscribed to their feed.<\/li>\n<li>This doesn&#8217;t come as a big surprise, as SAP customers had to continue facing the music: a survey by Panaya Inc showed that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tmcnet.com\/usubmit\/2009\/01\/13\/3909800.htm\">75% of all SAP upgrade projects are still going ahead as planned<\/a>, some with lower budgets. Main driver appears to be support cost avoidance.<\/li>\n<li>SAP confirms it has won <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/rbssTechMediaTelecomNews\/idUSLF68258820090115\">UN implementation project<\/a>.
