In a way I&#8217;m glad I missed my usual Monday deadline for TWiS this week, as it means I&#8217;m able to include one of THE SAP news headlines of the year. But let&#8217;s not get ahead of ourselves.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SAP-Oracle TommorowNow lawsuit: the jury has spoken and it&#8217;s not looking good for SAP, who will be forced to pay its rival Oracle $1.3bn in compensation for Intellectual Propoerty (IP) theft &#8211; <strong>should<\/strong> the ruling be upheld. There are people far wiser and more knowledgeable in this area than me, so let&#8217;s see what <a href=\"http:\/\/feeds.enterpriseirregulars.com\/~r\/EIblogs\/~3\/O6ScFYdFdok\/\">Ray Wang<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/blog\/howlett\/jury-slams-sap-13-billion-in-tomorrownow-lawsuit\/2647\">Dennis Howlett<\/a> and maybe even <a href=\"http:\/\/digitaldaily.allthingsd.com\/20101123\/oracle-sap-verdict\/\">a researcher interviewed by Digital Daily<\/a> have to say about this:\u00a0<em>\u201cYou have to bet Oracle will be reminding customers they\u2019re choosing between thought leaders and intellectual property thieves\u2013and what that indicates more broadly about how SAP does business.\u201d <\/em>&#8211; what a travesty it would be should Oracle really use the judgement that way. (Something tells me they will !).<\/li>\n<li>Also: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.computerwoche.de\/management\/compliance-recht\/2358610\/\">Germany&#8217;s Computerwoche with a first post-judgement article<\/a> this morning (english translation\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/translate.google.com\/translate?js=n&amp;prev=_t&amp;hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;layout=2&amp;eotf=1&amp;sl=de&amp;tl=en&amp;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.computerwoche.de%2Fmanagement%2Fcompliance-recht%2F2358610%2F\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Dennis also posted a great <a href=\"http:\/\/accmanpro.com\/2010\/11\/18\/attending-sap-uk-i-user-group\/\">SAP UK &amp; Ireland User Group Mentor-related pos<\/a>t, mentioning the SAP Mentor booth, which seems to have been a great success.
