Having said that, &#8220;SAP blog land&#8221; remained fairly quiet &#8211; I guess a lot of SAP bloggers who are employed by or closely related to SAP can&#8217;t or won&#8217;t post about this.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, I decided to post a few links I consider a worthwhile read in the news avalanche that was SAP vs Oracle:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.roughtype.com\/index.php\">Nicolas Carr<\/a> made some great posts about it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roughtype.com\/archives\/2007\/03\/oracle_sues_sap.php\">here<\/a> and more detailed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roughtype.com\/archives\/2007\/03\/enterprise_reso.php\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.zdnet.com\/BTL\/?p=4724\">ZDNet&#8217;s Dennis Howlett<\/a> puts emphasis on the exposure of software maintenance cost elements &#8211; and how it could hurt Oracle in long-term.<\/li>\n<li>and finally <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.zdnet.com\/Greenbaum\/?p=106\">Joshua Greenbaum<\/a> &#8211; also hinting to costs exposure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you need to know more&#8230; there is always the whole <a href=\"http:\/\/graphics8.nytimes.com\/packages\/pdf\/business\/20070323oracle.pdf\">43 page document<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OK, posting about the SAP vs. Oracle software theft battle is easy news after last week&#8217;s tour de force on IT and business news sites.
